The old Remote Desktop for Mac left a lot to be desired. It crashed a lot, only allows one remote connection (you could get around this by creating a copy of the application with a different name but that's lame) and did I mention it crashed a lot? Well Microsoft I guess has found that people want a better version so they released a beta a few weeks ago of Remote Desktop 2.0. You can download the beta here. I'm currently giving it a try so I'll give a it a brief review by the end of the week.

I tried a few open source remote desktop clients a while back and couldn't get them to work. But Cord looks interesting. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!

I've been using TSclientX (http://desktopecho.com/tsclientx/) since buying my MacBook Pro last month. Works better than the first version of Microsoft's Remote Desktop for Mac, but I still have some complaints.

I've been using Remote Desktop from VMWare the past few weeks and that has been working out pretty well. There are a few minor problems such as ATL + Tab not working correctly on the remote computer and the Command key being mapped to the Windows key. I'm sure some of these things are configurable I just haven't had time to go searching.
I've been using Microsoft's newest Remote Desktop since your posting and I have to say I'm happy with it. I can't figure out how to launch multiple connections though. Still, I like it better then the previous version and TSclientX. I'm planning to try Cord next for a week to see what I think of it.
